Access Permits

You must have a valid Access Permit to mountain bike or hike on the Northside. It's easy to obtain a permit in the Village of Taos Ski Valley (locations listed below), or at the trailhead, or click the link below to download an application in PDF.

Purchasing instructions are on the applications.

To download and mail Seasonal/Yearly permits, print two copies of the Permit application and one of the Rules. Read the Rules and sign the Permit application. Keep one copy of the Permit application and the Rules, and mail the other copy with your payment. A permit card and map will be mailed to you. Until you receive your permit card, carry your copy with you at all times you are within the Northside property boundary, as depicted on the trail map. Trail maps are also provided at the trailhead.

For Daily/Weekly permits, we suggest purchasing them in person from one of the businesses listed below or at the trailhead kiosk on the property.
